Me and my girlfriend went here recently and we definitely will be back! We stopped here looking for some southern food & they did not disappoint. Staff up front was soo sweet and recommended the butter cake squares (to die for by the way) & our meals were great. Can’t wait to try more of their food!

This place is great! somewhat of a hidden gem. The food is always well cooked and tastes incredible. The inside is well decorated and eludes comfort that only a soul food restaurant can. They has a large selection of sides other than their main dish for the day and a vast selection of baked goods. The tea was just what I wanted and I ordered the beef tips over rice, yams, and Mac and cheese. The yams were sweet and tender and I flew through them before touching anything else. The Mac and cheese tasted perfect and couldn’t have been better prepared. The beef tips and gravy tasted amazing and were perfectly chewy/tender and of free the rice was great. The corn muffin I got on the side was also delicious. Never a bad experience here!

My wife and I had lunch with Dawson's Kitchen Owner and staff today. It was a pleasure as always to dine with Dawson's Kitchen. I know someone is saying why does he continue saying He dine with rather than at. Well let me tell you I have to speak this way when there are so many restaurants to choose from yet only a few that the Food, Service, and atmosphere is excellent. So when I give Shan my order and she makes my and my wife plate with the same love and care my mother made my plate as a child and adult. It's my mother Mildred who introduced me to Dawson's Kitchen. We will continue to support our Great local business. Thanks to the owner and staff of Dawson's Kitchen, thank you for your service, we appreciate you all.

Love love love this place! Everything we had so far tasted phenomenal. So good that we went 2 days straight. Most of the restaurants here are too salty for me but Dawson’s makes it just right. They also have a great bakery. We love all kinds of cheese cakes. They are supporting local farmers too. Fresh produces with reasonable prices. We will definitely go back a try them all!

I ordered large quantities of mac n cheese, green beans, potato salad and several varieties of pies for a funeral and picked it up at 10:30 am before you opened. All of my family who are from several cities and states raved about how delicious the food was and kept asking where I ordered it from. I greatly appreciate you coming in to prepare my orders before opening time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

I am so glad the was a train stopped across the tracks and we decided to wait it out here to let it pass. This is definitely a hole in the wall and once you stop here, you will crave it! If the home cooked food with a rotating menu wasn't enough, they offer fresh produce, pies, cakes, sauces and spices. Somehow I never had chocolate pecan pie before going here. What have I been doing with my life? My granny will definitely have to get this recipe! The staff was very friendly, the food was superb. My only issue with the place is that it isn't closer to home! Keep up the phenomenal job!

When I think of soul comfort food, this fits the bill! The food was so delicious, fresh, & warm and the staff was even nicer. I got to meet Bob, their outdoor cat, who I think might’ve gotten his name from his adorable lack of tail. He’s a 10/10 Grade A Beggar and I thoroughly enjoyed his company on the patio. Such a sweetie! The fried chicken breast was moist and crunchy, the collard greens were delicious, and the Mac n cheese was so yummy. The only thing that could’ve topped all of this is if I wasn’t too full to grab some dessert! I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for some good cookin from good people!
